Rules & Regulations
Discipline is the backbone of AGR Global School. Our rules and regulations are framed to instill responsibility, punctuality, respect, and orderliness in students while ensuring a safe and harmonious learning environment.
School Timing

Students must be present in school by 8.15 a.m. sharp every day.

Students should arrive 10–15 minutes early and leave immediately after school hours.

Latecomers will not be allowed to enter without valid reasons.
School Attendance
-
Regular attendance is compulsory for academic success.

Attendance is mandatory on reopening days, after vacations (Summer, Dussehra, Christmas, Pongal), and during Annual Day, Sports Day, PTA Meetings, Project Day, Field Trips and Special Classes.

A minimum of 80% attendance is required to appear for terminal examinations.

Students with irregular attendance may face disciplinary action.
Uniform & Hygiene

Students must wear the prescribed uniform neatly and smartly on all school days, special classes, PT meets, excursions, and functions.

Shoes must be well-polished daily; socks should have proper elastic.
Hair & Grooming Rules
Girls Students
-
Short/bobbed hair may be left loose with a black hairband.
-
Medium/long hair must be neatly groomed in ponytails or double plaits.
-
Fancy clips, colorful bands, nail polish, and ornaments are not allowed.
Boys Students

Must maintain *regular haircuts, neatly combed

Fancy haircuts, coloring, or unkempt styles are not permitted.
Jewellery Restrictions

Gold ornaments, chains, rings, or dangling earrings are strictly prohibited.

Only simple ear studs are permitted.

Nails must be kept short and clean; painting nails is not allowed.
Code of Conduct for Students

Students must converse only in English within the campus.
-
Discipline and orderliness should be maintained while moving in corridors, classrooms, and playgrounds.
-
Running, pushing, or loitering in corridors and classrooms is prohibited.

Students must respect teachers, peers, and all staff members.
-
Hands must be clasped at the back when walking in line and always keep to the left side in staircases and corridors.
Policy on Discipline

Bullying, ragging, or any form of physical or emotional violence will result in strict action, including suspension or expulsion.

Use of unparliamentary language is prohibited.
-
Willful damage to school property will lead to expulsion, and the student must bear the cost of replacement.

Theft of belongings will result in immediate suspension.
-
Any student caught using unfair means in exams will be removed from the rolls and issued a Transfer Certificate

Misbehavior inside or outside school premises that brings disrepute will be treated seriously.

Prohibited items: Cell phones, smartwatches, pen drives, CDs, cameras, iPods, gaming devices. Confiscated items will not be returned.
Lunch Rules

Students must bring lunch from home in the morning.

Lunch will not be accepted at the school gate during working hours

Students are not allowed to go home for lunch

Pupils must bring a spoon, napkin, and hand towel and ensure cleanliness in classrooms.

The school provides safe drinking water, but carrying a personal water bottle is advisable.
Transport Rules

The school bus/van will not wait for latecomers.
-
Bus/van service will follow only specific routes and timings.
-
Transport fees must be paid along with school fees every term; failure to pay will restrict bus usage.

Transport fees once paid are *non-refundable and non-transferable.
Transport Conduct Rules
-
Drivers will wait for a maximum of *3 minutes* at each stop.
-
Students must board quickly, take seats promptly, and remain seated during travel.
-
No seat reservations are allowed.
-
Students must not extend arms or heads* outside windows.
-
Movement inside the bus while in motion is strictly prohibited.
General Rules
-
Frequent late-coming, poor uniform discipline, or negligence in studies will be viewed seriously.

Students must keep belongings organized; the school is *not responsible for loss* of personal items.
-
Books must be covered with brown wrappers and labeled.
-
Only library/class books are allowed; outside books or magazines require permission.
-
Eating inside classrooms, library, or labs is prohibited.
-
Participation in co-curricular activities and physical education is compulsory (except with valid medical certificate).

Students with contagious diseases will not be allowed to attend school.

Classwork and homework must be completed and submitted on time.

Students must attend all *unit tests, periodic tests, and class tests

Answer scripts must be shown to parents and signed.
-
No retests will be conducted for absentees.
Leave Rules
-
Leave must be taken with prior permission except in emergencies.
-
Leave applications must be filled in the Almanac and signed by parents.
-
Absentees without applications will be marked Absent.
-
Half-day leave will not be granted for functions, doctor visits, or other reasons.
-
Medical certificate required if absent for more than 3 days due to illness
-
Continuous absence for 10 days without intimation will result in removal from the register. Re-admission will be at the Principal’s discretion.
