Food Journal / Nutrition & Health Guidelines

At AGR Global School, we believe that good nutrition is the foundation of good learning. A healthy diet directly impacts a child’s concentration, energy levels, and overall development. To promote wellness, we provide clear guidelines for parents to ensure that children bring wholesome and nutritious food to school every day.

Nutrition & Health Policy

  • Every child has the right to adequate nutrition and must be safeguarded against hunger, malnutrition and unhealthy food habits.
  • Nutrition and hygiene awareness begin in the classroom and must be reinforced at home
  • Parents are encouraged to pack homemade, healthy meals while avoiding junk food, processed snacks and aerated drinks.
  • Students are advised to drink adequate water and bring clean water bottles daily, even though purified drinking water is available on campus.

Weekly Food Journal (Suggested Snacks & Lunch Additions)

To encourage variety and balanced nutrition, parents may follow these suggested options:

  • Monday – Fresh Fruits (peeled & sliced) / Fruit Salad
  • Tuesday – Vegetable Salad (carrot, cucumber, tomato)
  • Wednesday – Sprouts (green gram, soaked channa, groundnut)
  • Thursday – Dates & Nuts (dry fruits) / Urad Dal Vada
  • Friday – Bread Sandwich (2 slices with vegetables & cheese)
  • Saturday – Roasted Groundnuts / Channa

Lunch Guidelines

  • Students must bring lunch from home when they arrive in the morning.
  • Lunch will not be accepted at the school gate during working hours
  • Students are not permitted to go home for lunch.
  • Pupils should bring a spoon, napkin, and hand towel to maintain cleanliness.
  • Sharing food is encouraged to promote bonding, but food wastage is strictly discouraged.

Hygiene & Health Awareness

  • Nails should be trimmed weekly to maintain hygiene.
  • Parents are requested to monitor their child’s *diet and fitness* at home to complement school efforts.
  • Regular medical and dental camps are conducted on campus to ensure student well-being.
